View Full Version : fuel pump relay-where is it?

OK - I did a search and got some useful info on this but most of it related to the car never starting.
Here's where I'm at:

The car ran for 3 or 4 weeks. I parked it. came out and it wouldn't start.

This is what i've done: put in new fuel pump - yes wires are correct.
put in new spark plugs.
recharged battery.

This is problem: - FUEL PUMP IS NOT COMING ON AT ALL.....

What I think: I believe this is a problem with the fuel pump relay and i know i need to start checking
wiring but have no idea where to begin.

where is the fuel pump relay?????

I am getting a volt meter today and have the diagrams to check connections to the ECU which I plan on
doing tonight.

Any help on the steps to take to check wiring etc. would be great.

Other info - the car is cranking - won't turn over because no fuel.
- I have sr20det and also the sr20det ECU
- old fuel pump was 300zx pump and replaced it with the same - brand new z pump.
- fuel is getting to the fuel rail but no pressure. lines to the fuel rail are also correct.

Thanks for ANY help! - I need this car running ASAP - i'll lose insurance on this car and my FD if i don't have
it running and registered in the next couple days......

my email is tictacer@hotmail.com and IM name is pigeonchicken.
