I've been searching for a 240sx for awhile and found myself this offer:

1997 240sx LE, fully equipped w/ ABS and LSD for $11995 with ONLY 32k miles on it.

Problems are: I live in CA, the car is in Kansas, and the car was used as a demo model up until 13k miles :-/

the dealership purchased the car at an auction. What do you all think?

Otherwise I'll probably continue to hold out until the 2k2 Sentra SE-R comes out (droool... skyline seats and helical slip).

Ummm, you'll have to spend some to get it over here. My 240 is also in Ks and i live in So Cal. (my pops is giving it to me) it will cost over $500+. As for the Sentra, if u like fwd. The sentra name alone makes me hate it, and the fact that some of the ugliest nissans were sentras.

demo cars are often abused. i almost bought a silver moss 97 LE model that was a Nissan corporate car but i didn't like the color and the fact it was a demo.

my thoughts... well a used 240 is just that used, but loads of potential, i wouldnt reccomend getting an expensive used 240, even if it is a 97 for 12000 when u can get another 240 for 3-5000. a 240 is a 240 loads of potential, if u got the money and like fwd get the sentra else try and get a better deal on that 97 cause thats alot, unless u dont plan to spend alot tuning.

how much of a problem would i have to bring it into california? would the 97' 240 have to pass any special emissions test or have any special conditioning in order to drive it legal here? I'm not sure if all 240s are CA Smog legal stock
