View Full Version : Steering wheel replacement?

Anybody with an airbag-equipped car replace their steering wheel with one without a bag, from MOMO or Grant or another manufacturer?

This is specifically on the S14, and since Grant won't tell you what adapter fits (since they refuse to offer kits to replace airbag wheels with non-) I need to know what adapter kit you needed to install it.

Also, what diameter did you get? 13.5"? 13?

Thanks!

I did. There's a bad pic of it in this post somewhere.

Ahah! Thanks Tom!

I see you have a MOMO in there. Do they sell an adapter made for the 240, or did you need to futz around for it to fit? (you wouldn't happen to know the P/N (or what car(s) it fits) of the adapter you used wouldya?)

[edit]...and since I'm asking so many questions anyway, what type/fitment pillar pods did you use?

I don't know the part number off hand but it should be the same one for the S13 (adapter). That pillar pod is from an accord. Carparts.com just sent me any old one. I had to do a little modifying to make it fit.

Autometer now makes S13 and S14 single and dual pillar pods. The part numbers are on their webpage, www.autometer.com (http://www.autometer.com)
