Would a 225-40-18 tires fit on my 95 240sx SE model?

Depending on the rim, rears should be fine, will probably need to run a spacer on the front with lowered suspension.

I have some konig rims (aka. bad offset) and 225/40-18 inch tires. They fit fine. They're also close to stock tire diameter, and are the cheapest 18 inch tire size I've seen.

225/40-18 is perfect for an 18X7.5...fits and looks good, still has decent sidewall, etc...

And it fits with a +42 and lower offsets - '95 S14' (Britt) runs that exact setup with no issues.

And although I think +42 is too low of an offset (no way will it clear coilovers), it looks bad-ass on his car.

Thats the exact size wheel i am running in the rear. 18x9 +38. I have a set of 255/35/18 's in the rear and the scrub the fenders a hair on tight turns. Any wider and they would scrub all the time. But thats nothing that rolling the fenders wouldent cure.

Front, i am almost at the same size as you. I am running 18x7.5 +37 with a 225/40/18 and they would not clear my Z brakes so i had to slap on a couple of spacers.

EDIT: Just realized you have an S14. I would think that fitament would be nearly the same, maybe someone else can clairify.

The wheel-to-strut clearance should be very similar, the big difference is that the S14's fender wells are larger so there's more wheel-to-fender clearance. So something that rubs slightly on the fender of an S13 will likely not rub at all on an S14.

Thanks Asad. So that means that you could definintely run a 255-35-18 in the rear without rubbing. Probably could fit a 265 without a problem (with your current wheel offset).

I like your wheel & tire combo. Are you still using the ground control coilovers? Your sh_t is way low.
