View Full Version : Overheating KA problem.

Lately my car has been overheating after a while of driving. Today, I decided to replace and thermostat and replace the radiator because i sprung a leak. I turned it on, let it idle for a while with the radiator cap off and it starts shooting steam out. I put the cap on and take it for a spin. The damn car overheats two blocks down. There is something seriously wrong. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Did you purge the system of air first?

that happened to me http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif , there is a bleeder valve i believe its around were the top radiator hose conects to the block. When you find it open it while the car is running until coolant start coming out. Hope thats your problem. Good luck!

Well, that was it. There was a [censored] load of air in the system. Car runs fine now. Thanks
