View Full Version : JIC's rear upper arm or Cusco's rear upper arm?

I need to make a choice soon. JIC's is around $230, and Cusco's is about $270 before shipping. Price doesn't matter much, but what do you guys think is better?

I honestly believe the Cusco arms are better.

Advantages over JIC:

- Cusco arms have rubber dust boot over spherical bearing.
- Comes with better packaging (not that it matters).
- Most importantly, Cusco arms came with certification on stress testing (OE vs. Cusco), and had paperwork citing the type of metal they used for every part of arm (arm, locking nuts, bearing, bolts, etc). I don't know if it for VIA inspection or not in Japan, but the specs detailed the EXACT type of metal used, the properties of said metal, and such. That in itself made the Cusco arms totally worth it... JIC? It came with a small sticker and wasn't even packaged well.

Just my 2 cents.

I have the cusco upper arms on my car, they're awesome. Cant say much about the JIC because i've never worked with them. Nothing negative about cusco though. peace. =Vj=

Taka Kaira is fairly priced... if you don't take import tax and shipping into consideration.

Yeah, I got it from takakaira.com just for reference. I think their shipping costs are expensive since it's from overseas. But I get my parts at cost from my friend's shop.

Thanks Alex for the info. I'll be purchasing Cusco's later this week.

here are the JIC magic ones..
just for reference.. the Cusco Peice:

The rubber boot on the joint seems like a really nice feature....

Would it be possible to post a scan of those material specs?

I'd be quite interrested to compare them to the arms I made for my car.

I can do that tomorrow.

If you really wanna know. Go to the site, put one in the cart, checkout, then cancel. You have to have a credit card to check. I haven't done it, but still, I could get it at cost from my friend.
