Well FX45 has recieved many positive reviews. Press and general public seems to like it alot. Same goes for Murano. Nissan has two winners here.

Also if you want to talk about FX45, please voice your opinions over at FX35/45 forum. This forum is for Nissan Murano only. And these two vehicles don't compete against each other..well atleast not meant to.

Well, the FX 35/45 is very nice and all, but the price difference is quite large. At least in Canada it is. And insurance also costs higher than Murano due to the name brand.
Just a side-note, I called my insurance company and found out that if I got the Murano SL, I'd be paying less premium than what I'm paying right now for my Honda Prelude 1996!

I like both as well ... cripes, I'm liking most of the new Nissan-Infiniti models!!! Was thinking this morning that I need to add a Z, G35 Coupe and FX-45 to the garage. Then I'd have one heck of a "fleet" http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

But when comparing the FX and M-O ... I think the Murano has the FX beat on looks ... inside and out ... hands down. IMHO http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smirk.gif

I snagged a pix from Nissannews showing the Z and M-O side-by-side ... am using that as my wallpaper. Just wish I could get a shot of all 4 of the above.

IMHO the Murano blends the best of all worlds in a resonable priced package!

It seems like the uses for these two great autos is a little different. They both give an SUV appearance with a sporty feel, but the Murano seems to be much more the hauler of things and people, while the FX seems to be more of a extra tall sport wagon. Case in point: I'm looking at the Murano because I have a 70# boxer/pit to haul around in the back and I can load him in the back with a gate and he's got a little room.

I checked out the FX the other day, and while I love everything about it, my dog would go nuts if I put him in the cargo area. The Murano seems a little shaded towards utility and the FX is a little shaded towards sport. They're both gorgeous to me, though and serve their purposes well.

Price difference between the Murano SE and the FX35 in Canada is only $6000.00, which was a little to much for me to take the jump on the FX35. Would not be happy with the FX35 unless it had the Tech pkg which is another $7500.00.

Was thinking might save a couple bucks on gas for the Murano and a insurance would work out less also.

Can you send me a link to where I can find the pic of the Z and M-O side-by-side?

Took a look at nissannews but could not find it.

I think the FX looks to station wagon like. I like the Murano much better. For $45k+ for the FX45 I can think of a ton of other cars I would rather have.

Hey cds ... go to nissannews and then check out the Photo Library ... under Nissan vehicles select Murano and there are tons of pixs to include the side-by-side M-O and Z http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
