I'm needing a clutch pretty bad, running 10psi is killing it, I wanted to know who has an ACT and if you like it's response? The slippage is really getting on my nerves. Thanks,

Is there subtle slipping when a clutch starts going bad? or can you tell alot. My friend said his went bad real quick & the engine would rev alot & the car would barely move. Mine has 117k miles on it but never does that. The car does seem to have power spurts around 3k rpm, kinda like a vtec if you will, but not that much power. I didnt know if this was the clutch slipping then engaging or what.

this is my second clutch. the first one started off slow, then within a weeks time, it took a dump on me, hardly grabbed. as for the higher rpm thing, I never noticed it. I really need something that can hold the power down.

Get a ClutchMasters Stage 3. I have it and no problems yet. I have had it for about 6 months and I drive around at 12psi

T.Y. has an ACT street disk, and about 340 (? not really sure, but that's close) lb-ft of torque. I've never heard him complain.

I'll probably go with the ACT, I have connections that can get it for me pretty cheap. I just wanted to know how it hooked up and how long it lasts.
