ok heres the deal. I want to get a 240sx. but all of them have high mileage. and those kind of cars dont run good. Also my paretns wont let me get a car with over 60k miles, but i see 240's with 90+k. i really want a 240sx. will it run fine or will i have problems with it everyweek. i want to do a sr20det s13blacktop swap. thanks for any info.

well honestly if your swapping your motor it is silly to worry about milage. You will be replacing about everything that milage has effect on eventually (suspension, brakes, motor (and tranny)... 240's also do very well with higher miles. My car has 127k on the clock and i beat the crap out of my motor and it is still kicking. I'm also spraying a 75 shot of nitrous, and i still have had no problems. My sr is coming in next week so i'm gonna blow my motor by bumping the spray up to a 100 shot and tuning the fuel... but i bet this wont even blow it.

one of the bonuses of nissans KA "truck" motor is that it's tough as hell and reliable. as long as the car has been maintaned properly and regularly, it should be fine. also, if your planning on doing a swap and i take it other associated performance upgrades, outside of a good rustfree chassis that hasn't been wrecked, like said before, you'll be replacing everything that the mileage would affect

Don't want a car with over 60k? 240s aren't the place to look. Considering the newest one is over 4 years old (and 98s are very rare), you're looking at 5-14 year old cars.

My freind kelly had 225k on a 92 S13 and ran extremely well. Went 16.1 in the 1/4. If it has high milage, and good service records don't be scared, my 91 now has 160,xxx and it runs well besides a little bit of oil smoke from how hard I run it.
