I have been looking around and every post I have read about rewiring the fog lights were to make them run when the parking lights are on. How would I go about rewiring my fog lights to where I turn them on with a switch mounted in my car?? Thanks for the help in advanced.

Don't you already have a switch? Rewiring them to the parking lights still allows for the switch to turn them on and off.

Regarding wiring them to the parking lights: IMO, ghetto. Why would you want the fog lights on when it's not foggy?

One generic Bosch automotive relay and a switch will enable you to turn them on at will.

i have my fogs wired to the "headlight popup" switch so that when i have my driving lights on or no lights on, i press that switch and the fogs go on. also, when i turn the headlights on, the fogs automatically turn on. the funny part is that i accidently wired it when i did the silvia face; it just turned out to be functional. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

That seems pretty convenient.

One thing I liked about the OEM fog lights on the Silvia was that the dash lights came on with the fog lights (assuming the parking lights and headlights were not on).

I have a whole separate switch for my fog lights. Turn it on when I have to and turn it off when I want to. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
