I finally ordered my SR but it does not come with the ignitor chip. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

So I was wondering if anyone is using a Q45 or Pulsar ignitor chip? I know that a '96 Q45 chip and a Pulsar DOHC chip works as a replacement, but what about others?

I mean the part number for the SR ignitor chip is 22020-50F-00 and I think the '96 Q45 is the same number.

What about a Q45 ignitor chip from a different year? For example would the part number 22020-60U-00 work if I get both plugs with it and wire it into the SR?

Thanks.

If I were you I would just try to find a 95+ Q45 ignitor chip, it'll be way easier than to splice in the new plugs into your harness with the older q45 ignitor chip and it's plugs. But yes if you do find a 90-94 q45 ignitor chip with it's plugs it should be able to work also, you'll just need to splice in the plugs into your harness.

-any year q45 chip will work if wired properly
-the pulsar chip will work, it is the same as the early Q ones
-a 90-96 300zx one will work
-as will an infinity j30(same as 300zx)

I have like 3 of them. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The pulsar and earyly q45 chips use different connectors I think but will still work when rewired.

Early q45 chips are the same as ca18det chips...

Is there a q45 igniter chip that plugs directly into the SR harness, or must all of them be rweired using q45 plugs?

If so what year q45 and whats the part number for it?

Thanks

the z32 one is much cheaper than the infiniti, and come with the harnesses from courtesy nissan... any idea on the wiring?

Does anyone have a diagram for a 91 Q45 Igniter chip? I see the link for the z32 but any for a 91 Q45 would be awsome...
