Yea it doesn't look that bad. Replace fender, get a CF hood, replace rim, and get a new front end. What suspension parts did you injure? I am guessing if the impact wasn't that severe you will just replace your front control arm. Any other parts need to be replaced? (and if your insurance asks you had the OEM front lip http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Rough man. Yea I did a little bit of searching and couldn't find any dealers selling them singly like shocks. Did you get them with or without pillowball mounts? Are THEY ok? Exactly what part of it is damaged?

Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

I hope you're joking; it's things like this that drive up insurance costs...

You might get a good settlement if you file fradulent items and get away with it, but in the long run EVERYONE that pays insurance pays for the cost of claims like this.

I dunno how all four points of a susp setup would be damaged in that crash, how a carbon fiber looks anything like steel, nor would any decent insurance claim inspector really believe those stories... but i get your point, me sorry http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

But the fact is, people DO file such claims... I've actually seen a few of the reports that were filed, and people claim almost anything they can make up to get money, which is just plain discouraging to see the amount of lies that goes around to rip others off.

Took a closer look today with the adjuster there. Looks like the following are definately goin to have to be replaced.

Hood, fender, headlight, corner, bumper light, bumper, radiator core support, grille, wheel well cover, airbags (hopefully i can get from a friend that pulled his out),
1 coilover, 1 uppermount, wheel, tire, tie rod/arm assembley ect.

The aftermarket parts I think are seperate in the value when added up to determine if the car is totaled or not. Am I wrong about this? If it doesnt then I think my car will be totaled. 1ea of wheel+tire+coilover+uppermount = $1200

If anyone's dealt with insurance and aftermarket parts please reply what they went through and what im entitled to. thanks =Vj=

Found out today that the total is up around 10k. Im not sure if the guys insurance just wants to screw me over and total it or not. Going to have my insurance look into it and take it to the body shop to have it looked over and see if its worth fixing. I really didnt think it was bad at all. Sucks aZz man... Careless drivers piss me off more than anything in the world.

Hmmm.....

from experience, your should not have you insurance handle it. This is because they will total it.....trust me. As for the other insurance company, they will try to walk around some stuff and give you money...but not enough for everything.

G-luck with the outcome.

on the brighter side of a darker cloud.. if it was totalled.. call up some place and found out what you can by it back for and then offer some amount to the insurance.. and take the rest and buy what you want with it.. many times they add things that are not SO important.. all depends on what you want to do with the car.. .. could always buy another.. but take all your aftermarket stuff off.. who knows.. good luck http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif

oh yeah and in my case they dont pay for anything aftermarket, even if you do have receipts. maybe some companies are different.
