Cool thanx.

I think for once the US finally gets the better looking version. The JDM S13's front end is pretty bad.

I like this rear bumper for an S14:

If you're talking about the projector lights on the front end, I actually like it ... In fact, there isn't a silvia or 180 model I dont't like ...

that rear bumper is nasty. Anyone who puts that on their car has no taste.

Yes... the C-west wide body kit is strict pimp. Too bad it's like $11,000 for it... I've been throwing around the idea of having my rear fenders flared out some... I really really really want to run 315/35/17 tires in the back on 17X11 wheels. Does anyone know what size wheels/tires are on that Silvia w/ the C-west widebody kit?

Anyone who puts that on their car has different taste than you. It's it easy enough to just leave it at that? Why do people want to always bag on others?

Asking for opinions is asking other people to run your life for you. Especially if it is subjective opinion.

you can actually make some custom fender flares like Non Fujita's S14, it's pretty nice too. heres are some pics I took a few weeks ago at his shop...

Yeah I've kicked around that idea... any good body shop should be able to do it... just cut vertical slits in the stock fender and then flare them out, then weld in metal to fill the gaps and then grind the welds smooth and prep and paint. I would only need about 1.5 inches out, so it would be very suttle. I would pull out the whole rear fender, not just the edges of the wheel well like Non did on his. Just curious, what size wheels/tires is he running? Because they don't look any wider than the 275's that Im running right now

a S14 is a Silvia.

no.
a silvia can be a S14. a 240SX can also be a S14. the chassis code S14 can be applied to silvia, 200SX and 240SX. it's like genus and species.

And geometry. http://www.freshalloy.com/

A Silvia is an S14, and a 240sx is an S14, but a 240sx isn't a Silvia. http://www.freshalloy.com/

yea you are right, he's running 275/30/19 in the rear, he has custom wheel spacers which looked like a 2 or 3 inches thick....

So is it a fact that the 93 240SX is not a Silvia?

StealthmodeS14
09-22-2001, 02:59 PM
I believe the '93 style 240sx was known in Japan as the 180sx....right???...I've got to do some research on the S13...my knowledge is limited with this model...sorry

**DONOTDELETE**
09-22-2001, 03:19 PM
Well the hatch version is the 180sx in japan. The coupe that we have here is what is known as a Onevia. A ONE-eighty front and silVIA back. There was an S13 silvia just not in the states.

Do you guys think it is incorrect to call the 93 240SX a Silvia? Or is it simply a RPS13?

I think it is only politically correct to call your U.S. s13 or s14 silvia if you have the conversion including (engine, front clip, emblems, gauge cluster, etc)
I think its funny and rice when ka cars run around with silvia emblems, geeze... www.eurostreetgraphics.com/silgal.htm (http://www.eurostreetgraphics.com/silgal.htm)

**DONOTDELETE**
09-22-2001, 06:54 PM
Nah, I think you should be able to call your car a Silvia with just the engine. After all, that's the only part that really sets the Silvia appart from the 240 performance wise. A front clip on a S13 coupe(or stock front clip on S14) with the engine would be even better. Things like guage clusters and etc are just nit picking. That's like saying a person in Japan with a true Silvia can no longer call their car a Silvia if they swap any of the Nissan parts out for aftermarket ones.
