Hey, guys and gals...I have a good one for you. I currently run an s13 RWD motor in and 1996 s14 body. Lately, I have been having this problem with the timing after the car warms up. When I accelerate, the rpm's stick around 2000-3000, like someone is holding the e-brake, and then bucks out around 4000. The boost spikes very hard, so I am gathering that the timing is becoming severely retarded...(no pun intended). I tried switching computers from stock to the MINES VX-ROM ecu, but still no difference. Car runs rich (pump is fine) and replaced fuel filter. Help...possibly MAFS? Cars runs great for about 30 min, then this happens. I've always enjoyed reading the posts, but never entered until now. Thanks for whatever help you can give.

did you check the ecu for codes? maybe knock sensor is to blame?

ECU codes match for both stock and Mines. I'm not exactly fluent in what a the knock sensor is though...
