Ok, I am thinking to start a groupbuy on Koni Yellow adjustable shocks for our 240sx. I am just woundering how many people will join this groupbuy. I can probably get them for $500 a set, maybe lower if more people participate.

Thanks,
Patrick - wmperformance.com

Yes I can get them any year. $500 doesn't include shipping. But since you live in SJ, I can just deliver it to you.

oh, are you gonna tax me?? i'd rather pay for S&H then paying for the tax! hehe
-count me in. (100% sure)

how many more people do you need to get a better deal? and is it only for 240sx or do you have them for other cars.
if you want a lot of people in, you can post it up on groupbuycenter.com

Yah man, count me in. I e-mailed you earlier though so don't count me twice :P

BTW, I was talkin to PDM Don about shocks and he said he used Koni's while racing his 240sx and recommended them. I don't think I or anyone looking for an awesome set of shocks can afford to pass this up.

$500 that's expensive considering you can pick up a set of KYB AGX for $350 or less. I'm not sure about the S14, but on the S13, the fronts are inserts ONLY. Which mean you'll have to tear apart the OEM shock housing and replace it with inserts (not an easy task). I think the fronts are adjustable and the rears aren't on the Koni. The AGX is adjustable 4 front and 8 rear.

Danny, first of all, AGX's aren't available for the S14.

Yes, the front Konis are inserts. From what I hear, installing inserts really isn't that hard. All you need to do is cut the top off the strut pipe (kinda like opening a can of soup!) and pull out the old cartridge, and drill a hole and bolt in the new cartridge from the bottom. With a pipe cutter, I can't imagine that would take more than 10 minutes for both. Even with a hacksaw it wouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

Nope, Koni's are adjustable front and rear. However, you have to remove the rear shock in order to adjust it.

you have to remove the whole thing to adjust it? or just jack up the car and remove the wheel?

You have to remove the shock. It's adjusted by turning the shock body or something like that.

the lowest i've found was for $546 SHIPPED for all four. and most other sites will sell them for about $10-15 more then that.
this is a good deal and it may get better if more people join. =)
