View Full Version : G20 - Motor misfires after warmup

Runs great until a 20 minute warmup from cold start, 5 minutes if run again later after cool down. Acts like jerking then water is in the gas tank. Most noticeable at about 3000 RPM. Replced bad plugs which made it run better but that was not the problem. Had a similar problem in the past caused by bad fuel pump. Is there a way to verify bad pump without having to replace this expensive part first? Any ideas? TIA

I had frequent problems with my 94 g20t with either bad gas or water condesation in the tank. It would usually cause cold start problems, but sounds similar to your description.

Drygas was the solution. one bottle in a full tank.

Easy and cheap fix, give it a shot.

Well the problem I am having is the car runs fine 'UNTIL' the car warms up. Once the car warms up then it starts skipping. Think the DryGas will still help? What is that stuff....I've never heard of it. Where can I buy it?

so, if anybody was interested. all it took to fix was changing the plug wires.
