I love N.E.R.D they are working on their second album. Its supposed to be nothing like Neptunes presents which was whackkkk. If you want to hear some good sh!t. You know were the songs concept is totally off (not commercial) then listen to Songs from Atmosphere or Aesop Rock. They are really thorough.

DJ Baby Anne you say huh. I am open to anything.

Hey what would telepopmusik's breathe be classified as?

PrincessKouki
01-27-2004, 02:37 PM
telepopmusik i would say is more...vocal techno?
i don't really know i tend to not like mainstream techno.
i LOVE DJ irene too and Bad Boy Bill-Behind the Decks.
I can't get over that cd...oh crap, my best friend stole that cd now that i think about it...

For the drum and base heads check out Diesel Boy and AK1200 if you havent yet. Both are absolutely insane.

But these two genres are basically whats usually in my cd player. I love Atmosphere, dudes are insane. Listen to a lot Hiero, Del, Zion-I and stuff like that.

back on topic (more or less)

i just picked up BT's newest work 'emotional technology'

its amazing, BT has always used traditional musical elements (verse/refrain...vocals) and this album almost seems too 'popish' but the more i listen the better it gets, very good energy, great work...

definately a transitional album, its 100% BT, but i wouldent hesitate for a second to let it run its course at a party of non-techno savvy people and im sure it would be a hit

Who hasn't listened to those commercialized bastards at some point in their lives? I mean, I still like some of their songs, but every CD after Dysfunction has sent them further along their downward spiral to becoming a 20-something's Linkin Park... And although I do like some stuff from Something Corporate, they are not rock in any way, shape, or form.

Killswitch Engage are a bunch of sickos, and although I haven't heard a lot of In Flames, what I have I really liked. I've heard some people call them a death metal band, but I don't consider them to be, mostly because you can understand what they're saying most of the time. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I don't really like death metal that much, but the bands always have the coolest names... I wish regular metal bands would let death metal guys pick their names out. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

So pretty much, teeny bopper [censored] MTv pop punk crap ?
I'm pretty sure this thread was about rap, drum and bass, and hip hop, not I like the radio music. Stop watching MTv, and go find some real music.

Back on topic,
Cirrus is really f'ing good but they aren't drum and bass.
www.cirruscirrus.com (http://www.cirruscirrus.com), listen and watch the video for boomerang. Really good group there and if you like trip hop type stuff, Sneaker Pimps is always really good but only the album with Kelly Dayton as lead singer (Becoming X).

Not anything worth listening to...

Its a damn shame to. The outsiders who rarely listen to hip-hop get the MTV and BET and radio versions of hip-hop.

Its way better than that. Like there is one song by El-P called step father factory and the video is a very good animation. Here is the link (http://www.definitivejux.net/av/player.php?id=2&filetype=highvideo)

I understand that, but its not like there's originality in anyones music tastes. 90% of the bands/djs mentioned here are "mainstream" for their genre. Sure MTV people don't know who the Hieroglyphics are, but almost everyone who likes "underground" rap knows them. And Bad Boy Bill is in the cd changer of every pacifier-chewing rave baby in this country.
