Stock displacement SR
S15 turbo
550cc injectors
9:1 compression pistons
Greddy intake manifold (mildly ported and port matched to the head)
HKS 264 Step 1 cams
Mildly ported head
Mildly ported and port matched stock exhaust manifold
Greddy 02 housing
3" exhaust w/ no cat
Greddy VSPL intercooler
All necesary supporting mods

Assume it is tuned to perfection and if I didn't mention a part, it's probably stock. My goal with this engine is to be as powerful and responsive as possible.

How much boost could I run with the slightly higher compression pistons? I'm considering the 9:1 pistons to get a little more power and make the turbo spool faster.

you didn't mention some of the most important parts... which turbo?, engine management?, injectors?

well since he said if he didn't mention it, then its probably stock, so the turbo, ecu, injectors and all that is most likely stock.

Whoops, major screw up on my part. S15 turbo with 550cc injectors.

my guess says about 315-320ish HP with a nice response and curve. I like the set up!

you think only that much? Charles's convertible put down 299 on stock intake, stock cams and stock compression w/ s15 turbo. I would think the additional compression and parts would add up to more than 11hp.

not if the compressor cant handle it. remember it is only a 31 lb/minute comp wheel.

The t25 has a 25lb compressor yet we've had a couple make more than 265whp. I think a properly set up and tuned car could do 320. I'm interested to see the results

The boost level would be as much as it can take w/o running on the edge of detonation. The plan is to maximize the S15 turbo, milk it for everything it's worth and remain streetable.

Say I go with an external wastegate also. That's supposed to be good for a few horses and faster spool right?

if done correctly, it removes turbulance from the exhaust flow, improving it, giving you a few hp. More accurate boost control is a bonus as well.
