What size and type should I use? Is there detailed oil pressure gauge install instructions for the ka somewhere on the net? I have no idea how to install it. http://www.freshalloy.com/

just put it where the old sending unit is (right under the oil filter ) but the auto meter sending unit won't fit so you have to buy a braided stainless steel line and relocate it

so... if the original oil sending unit isn't that good (i.e. will not warn you of anything untill you're SOL...??) can you just swap it out? or just T it in...

Or just buy a Greddy unit that will replace the stock pressure switch. No special fittings required.

go to mcmaster.com and get
-4860k631
-4978k121
-4860k141

this will let you use the stock sensor and run a hose from one of the ports on the tee to the oil pressure sensor(autometer, greddy, apexi etc...) the last part number listed is a male/female adaptor. this will let you 1/8npt fitting. whether it is -an or barb.

check out this honda hybrid site. it is kind of old though. but good info. http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/tech/oilcooler/index.html

I'm planning to go with an electric oil pressure gauge. What type do you guys recommend? I'm not sure what size I need either... I believe someone said something about the ka having the same thread size as a Ford? Thanks for the help guys. http://www.freshalloy.com/

The KA oil filter has the same thread as a Ford V8 oil filter. Doesn't really apply to this problem.

The stock KA oil pressure sensor (for the idiot light) uses a 1/8" BSPT thread (it's very close to 1/8" NPT, but the thread pitch is slightly different).
