Standard keyless entry and ABS.  20th Anniversary Limited Edition will have 227 bhp engine, bright polished 17" alloy wheels, bronze tinted headlamps, drilled foot pedals, new spoiler and side sills, and highly chromatic blue paint. On sale Sept. 2000.

All MY2001s will receive active head restraint as standard equipment.
Larger 3.5L V-6 with over 250 bhp. Major redesign. Moves up to full size segment. Carries over previous year 3.5L V-6.

Goes back to independent rear suspension.

MY 2004 goes to rear wheel drive?
QE Rumored to be a high performance rear wheel drive sports sedan to fight the Lexus GS400 and BMW 540i.   Arriving early 2002 or late 2001.  
XVL/G35 All new global platform debut with XVL concept car shown at various auto shows.   Return of second rear wheel drive sedan to Infiniti's line up. 

Japanese version features direct injection VQ engine and CVT with over 250 bhp. CVT unlikely to make it to the States.

Competing against 
BMW 3, Audi A4 and Lexus IS300. Pricing estimated around $30,000.
