240sx

My 89 240 was seriously lacking power in the high RPM range from 3500 and up. Couldn't even make a redline shift. Low and behold I go to the http://www.240sx.org website and read up on high end power lacking, well they said it was the fuel filter. So what do I do? Go right to the local auto parts store and buy a fuel filter and injector cleaner, the stuff you ad to a tank of gas.
First I put the fuel filter in (with the help of my dad) took a total of 15 minutes! What a simple job, but before you do this make sure you release the pressure by undoing the gas cap and taking out the fuel pump fuse. Then you must start the car till it dies. The reason you do this is to make sure there is no gas in the lines so it doesn't squirt all over yourself and the car.
Jus installing the filter inproved the performance, and then a tank of gas and the cleaner makes it even more sweeter.
Any car that has this kind of problem you must try this before you replace anything. Simple job, low price. Under $40 for both things.
Happy Driving..
