Greetings:
Seeking some help regarding an ignition problem. (KA24DE S13) I recently picked up the following (very annoying) problem:
-ECU code 21 (Ignition system)
-Engine intermittently loses its reference to the crank (or so it seems) and backs off the timing. Massive bog as the spark comes late.
-Problem sometimes comes on as a recurring "bump" at steady throttle btw. 2500-3500 RPM; sometimes consistent bogging any time the throttle is opened further (i.e. any time spark advance required).
-Idles fine, so I'm almost positive this is a sensor problem.
Fuel delivery and injection is fine (verified). Suggestions? TPS or crank position sensor?
