M45 poll - ClubLexus a JOKE !

Hi guys, thought you might find this amusing... I posted a poll this morning on ClubLexus about which car do you think is more attractve, the new 2006 M45 or the new 2006 GS4... Well, it seems that the moderators over there got a little angry that the M45 was neck and neck with the new M, that they all of a sudden within 20 minutes added 20 something more votes for the GS, and REDUCED the M45's votes in half to only 6... at 545pm the GS had 13 votes, and the M45 had 11.. then 20 minutes later, the GS had 43 votes, and the M45 had 6 !!! how do you LOSE votes ?? unbelievable... I think they KNOW deep down inside that the new M is gonna be some SERIOUS competition for that new GS and they are somewhat scared... Seriously, what do you expect from a bunch of losers? Most of the people who own Gen-1 and Gen-2 GS's hate the new look of the Gen-3 GS, and I don't really blame them. Those were good looking cars. The new M45 was going to completely kill the new GS430, just like the G35 continues to destroy the IS300. It doesn't really make a difference, even if the poll is on a Lexus biased website.

If you want to take a look at some impartial polls, head over to VWVortex where the Euro crowd hangs out. They have the most active and largest Car Lounge on the internet with 136,733 members. The moderators and admins there aren't some little pansy-ass elementary school children like they are on Club-Lexus.

Oh yeah, btw check the polls out, the M45 is on top while the Lexus GS is coming in dead last where it belongs.

Had you waited just long enough for a few responses, or came back with a civil and non threatening response, everyone would have had a laugh and life would have gone on. The poll would have returned to normal. They only pick on you when they like you. Well, you screwed that.

What's more surprising than the whole Club Lexus thing is that in all these threads there is pretty much unanimous praise for the M. Of all the cars in these polls the one which seems to have the most desirability is the Infiniti. Who'd a thunk it!

Those with strictly critical comments come across more as threatened and the remarks smack of insecurity. I think the new M is a smash-hit but I never would have expected such praise from other camps.

Well, don't be too surprised. A well designed car, is a well designed car no matter who manufactures it. Lexus clearly demonstrates that in some of its products. When you get a large group of mostly objective people who are intelligent enough and can look past a badges, what you end up getting is good feedback and good end results. The M45 is clearly showing up as such, favored over all of its new competition. Those people who are insecure are blinded by brand loyalty, too bad because they are the ones who will be missing out.
