Qx56 Concept to Production

I was going thru my old Motor Trend magazines when I came across a drawing of the Qx56. Thought you guys would enjoy it. If you look, you'll see the Q45 headlights on the Qx56. This is something the Qx should get.

I remember that drawing and I thought then that it just looked like a tall wagon. I still do now that I see it again. I'm not a big fan of the gattling-gun headlights on the Q so that also wasn't a selling point for me.

The best QX rendering was the one from Automobile magazine over two years ago which showed a slick looking vehicle in green. It was better looking than the MT version.

Personally I think they should make those lens headlights an Infinti trademark, to with the current and upcoming circular Leds on the tails. It's such a waste to see such an innovative design go nowhere. Swivel lens are all the rage now, but they still can't beat that infiniti design.

It's the top of the line vehicle at Infiniti so if you can afford to buy it then you should be able to fix it.

THe G35 has a different body and different shape headlights, side profile and rear! The FX is a CROSSOVER SUV and that what it intends to be. The Crossfire is a sports car, and there is not a single shape or design cues copied or similar between that an the FX35. Thus, if u mated a Crossfire and a G35, you get another sports car that would be a "hybrid" sports car, not an SUV! The Crossfire and FX both have hunchback-looking rears. I dislike that kind of convex slope on the back end. If I wanted a bubble car, I'd get a ... Taurus.

If a Crossfire and a G35 mated, what says that they couldn't spawn a fugly tall wagon? Sure, having two short parents usually means the kid won't be too tall, but unless you're an expert on genetics and would like to present some evidence, I'd say it's possible. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I still like the Motor Trend sketch 'QX.' Neither of Infiniti's current SUVs is appealing to me. Nor do I care for the Lexus SUVs. Acura MDX? Necessary evil.

Aight, you make a good point. Lets say you are given choices of different foreign SUVs, which one will win your heart?? Just a simiple question. I got a Infiniti QX4, Lexus RX330, and had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a BMW X5. I love the Lexus the most. The Infiniti QX4 in my opinion looks better than the new boxy "in your face" QX56.
