View Full Version : How do I fix the lights on my 1993 J30
I just recently purchased a 1993 J30 with 155K on it. Everything seems to run fine but the dash lights don't work. i'm going to check all of the fuses in the morning but other than that i don't know what else I should be looking at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do the dash warning lights [at startup work] if so the dash dimmer reostat may be off or defective.

Yes, it is my car, the lights do light up on the dash, when your turn the key, so my reostat might be off, it wouldn't be a fuse or anything, how much would a reostat be? is that something I could replace myself you think?

The dimmer switch is a common failure item

have you gotten this fixed yet? Is this an easy DIY job? I am having the same problem right now. Where is the dimmer switch located?
