JWT said in the new Super Street mag that the release of their TT for the G35 should be early summer.

"To update you on the JWT 350Z/G35 Twin Turbo system, we have completed development and are in the final tuning & emission cert. process. This system uses a pair of JWT 530BB Ball bearing turbos JWT presently offers for the Z32 TT. While the package is targeted at 400HP, the 530BB turbos are designed for 530HP, offering a lot more potential with internal engine mods. Check back here, as we get closer to the release. Thanks for your patience; we are sure it'll be worth the wait!"

Say goodbye to any hopes of traction you had with the stock tires. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

How much do kits like these go for? do they affect the reliability of the G in any way?

Holy plumbing batman!
But, it looks like it would work well with the stock bumper openings.

What are recommended tire sizes if someone were to get turbo?

The bigger and more grippy the rubber the better I would think. I think 245/40/18 fronts and 275/40/18 rears would be great - I don't know exactly which max performance street tires come in those sizes but Michelin Pilots, S-03's, Toyo's, Kuhmo MX's should get considered and if you wanna get really serious - either Hoosier or Kuhmo (or another brand) racing tires.

Wouldn't a 40 profile on an 18" wheel leave a big gap between the tire and the well ? Ho! I know - lower the car... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Exactly - if you're concerned about looks AND speed - lower the center of gravity and help reduce the "buck" when accelerating hard (although the coupe has much less of a problem with this than, oh say the old 300ZX I used to have - that thing used to do a pretty good rodeo horse imitation!)
Negative is (of course) the fear of angled driveways like banks have - dayam I hate going to ATM's nowadays! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
You could go to 19's (20's are really not realistic for performance I would think.) The problem in going to 19's is unsprung weight and high quality and lightweight wheels and tires become harder to find and much more expensive. That's why I think 18's are a good pick for racing. But I suppose with the right setup (and bank account) 19's can be managed too!

Assuming you're not just joking, the answer is NO! The number 40 is a ratio, not a height. The sidewall height of a 275/40-18 tire is exactly the same as the sidewall height of the stock 245/45-18 coupe tire. In both cases it's 4.3 inches.

All I know is that turbos sound cool... unless you're in an Audi or Volvo. You don't hear OR feel the equipped turbocharger. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif

Total sleeper! Doesn't look like it will require an aftermarket front end giving away the obvious intercooler.

That's one of my big draws to this one as well. I'd see if I could anodize the intercoolers black as well just to make sure they don't stand out http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif
