are there any internal differences between US SR20DE's and non US SR20DE's. Not the DET's, just the DE's. TIA

Well some of them are identical to the us versions mike. just depends on the market it was built for.

well the reason I was asking was because my mechanic friend is almost certain that I have a JDM motor or something because he's just so surprised at how good my car is doing with just intake, exhaust, and 19 degree timing. He says I should be dipping into 14's if I was to take my car at the track because I raced his 240Z (on some backroads... yeah I know bad bad bad) which is pulling 14's at fomosa. So I dunno...

Well my car with POP and STB is keeping up with SI's and my friends new Type R, given the type R was at like 7/10's i was like at 8 or 9 10ths. But probaly just a good running sr20. With intake exhaust and timing you should be high high 14's if you are a good driver and get good traction. Header and your probaly going to get even lower et's. Strenght of the SE-R is that the car its pulling is so light weight. Like my friends 95 Maxima SE I can give fits, well no longer cause he sold it for the Type R. Weight goes a long way in 1/4 mile times and quickness

I agree,I think at least some of them are the same.We have purchased some sort of Japenese "engine pull outs" for customers who need an engine and wont/cant buy new.Im not exactlly sure, but I think in Japan they have some real strict laws about emmisions or somthing so theres alot of these motors to be had.Anyway..they seem identical to us.
