I would really appreciate if anyone help me about this.
I have a 97 Nissan Sentra GXE with auto transmission. I recently noticed the transmission shifter makes clicking sound when braking, no matter the shifter is at
Parking(P), Backward(R) or Driving(D) position.
I DO understand the clicking sound is normal when braking, if the shifter is at Parking(P) position because it has a lock/unlock mechanism there. But my car's problem is,
the shifter makes the same clicking sound whenever I brake while I am DRIVING.
I get the car checked by a mechanic, he said
it is normal. But I don't feel confortable about it because,
what would be the reason to make the clicking sound when braking at driving condition?
why didn't the shifter make the clicking noise before, I mean, when braking at driving condition?
why don't, the other cars I've ever driven or my friends' cars, make the clicking sound when braking at driving condition?
Thanks in advance.
