Drink, blow, don’t go
You drink, you don’t drive. At least that’s the way Saab sees it—and General Motors’ Swedish subsidiary has a way to back up that promise. An alcohol-testing key fob prototype dubbed Alcokey is being tested in Saab 9-5s in Sweden and could become available as a dealer accessory. If the fob detects too much alcohol in the driver’s breath sample, it will prevent the car from starting

Didn't wanna start a new thread, and since it relates to Saab:

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – (June 24, 2004) – Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, today announced that Debra Kelly-Ennis, President and Chief Operating Officer of Saab Cars USA, will participate in a live chat with consumers on Edmunds.com Town Hall today, Thursday, June 24, at 7 p.m. EDT (4 p.m. PDT). The direct link to this chat is: http://www.edmunds.com/townhal....html.
Ms. Kelly-Ennis anticipates most of the questions will pertain to the highly anticipated Saab 9-2X, which was chosen as one of Edmunds.com’s favorite production cars at the 2004 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show. Edmunds.com’s Senior Road Test Editor Ed Hellwig reported, “Although hailed as a performance car, the wagon body style of the 9-2X also offers the versatility and convenience of a hatchback. Flip the rear seats down and you have access to nearly 60 cubic feet of cargo space. Try to find another fun-to-drive car with that kind of practicality.”

Edmunds.com's Town Hall is the most comprehensive online community for automotive consumers, with more than 2.4 million messages posted about all aspects of vehicle purchasing and ownership.
