Will it sound like a Ferrari ? (http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=247636)
According to reliable inside sources the next generation of the NSX is going to be a hybrid with a total HP rating in excess of 400 bhp. V8 was 86ed.

I remember back in the early nineties there were rumours that Honda would have a V-12 for the NSX....
I'd just be happy if Honda releases something new in the same vein as the NSX. This car is going to be a couple decades old before they replace it http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That was the HSC concept and it's been cancelled. No hybrid powertrain. The next NSX is still coming though.
As for the V8 rumor, anyone who's followed Honda for the past decade or two knows this story, so don't hold your breath for a Honda V8. Undoubtably, given Honda's expertise with engines and racing V8s, a production Honda V8 would rock. It just goes against the company's holy "more with less" eco-conscious philosophy, which is why they're gonna have to put up a serious argument why a V8 is necessary when they seem to be doing just fine with a 6. (sadly, enthusiasts do not make up enough of a market to justify the good stuff.)

I still care more about a future CRX or Prelude.

I bet they'll lower the redline and give it about 10 more ft/lbs of torqe. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

If this thing does become a 400 HP hybrid, what will happen to its price? The current NSX's price might be worth the new one if it does have these specs, but adding 100+ horsepower to a car and giving it a hybrid powertrain among other things must give it a god awful price raise...
