Why is he comparing it to the LS430? He should be comparing it with the GS.
... best-in-class navigation system
What makes it better then the one in the upcoming RL, which includes traffic updates.
The RL and M are gonna have no problems out doing this car.

Lincoln misfired when it made its LS luxury sedan too derivative of BMW, and the Lexus LS 430
I get the BMW part but the LS 430 http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Has this guy sat in a Lincoln LS, or driven one?
Then followed up with this great reasoning....
- for all its strengths - is essentially a Mercedes clone with a lot more standard features and a more luxurious interior.
So the Lincoln LS is derivative of "BMW" and specifically the Lexus LS 430(which didn't exist when the Lincoln LS was released).
However, in the end it turned out to be a Mercede's clone. So, I guess he is inferring that Lexus LS 430 + BMW'ness = Mercedes clone(but we don't know which model, it could be the E Class but then again WTF is LS430 doing in here...) http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif
The STS, which just started showing up in dealerships, grows straight out of Cadillac's historic roots. It's about six inches longer than either of the German cars and offers considerably more interior space.
D'oh.
Hey! Caddy is stealing something from Acura's page.
If we can't directly compete against our competitor's we will offer something in between, so we can never quite be fairly compared to anyone http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I think you're reading it wrong. He bashes the lincoln for trying to copy bmw and then bashes the lexus for copying mercedes, then says cadillac didn't copy anyone, they came up with a unique new styling theme.
I don't see anything wrong with making the car bigger, new generations should have more, Bmw is stuck in the mentality of charging more for less.

Must of not ate my Wheaties this morning but the size thing still stands. It is an Acura ploy but doesn't mean it's necessarily all bad.
