I was there in the back of the fam's Ford Explorer on Thursday evening after dinner. During 'Pre-Cruise,' the traffic actually moves. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Cruisers ummm cruise all summer prior to the actual event later today. Apparently, Woodward is abandoned then after this weekend, so I can have it back to myself and the idiots in the Jeeps again. yay.

I saw everything but Lincolns (not popular with the cruise crowd like Cadillacs) and AMCs (AMC "never was, never will be" 'DETROIT') on Thursday. Chevrolets, Pontiacs, Fords, Chryslers, Dodges, Plymouths were most prominent, and there were several Oldsmobiles, Buicks, and Mercurys as well. And the Cadillacs. (No Saturns... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)
Most of the action is in Royal Oak between 13 and 14 Mile roads, usually. But the strip will be busy past Maple Road (15 Mile) up through Pontiac today.
If I go out tonight, I'll cruise Big Beaver, Crooks, Mound, and the usual. Woodward and surrounding streets are jammed, and the Dream Cruise doesn't exactly entice the thugs and Eminem wannabes to desert Gratiot. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif
