I've been totally out of touch with the car world while working on four political campaigns.

I'm reading the local Sunday paper and two things strike me as interesting.

A full page add for the ION states the 2005 features over 800 improvements. If a car company can find 800 things to improve in a car only out for 2 years then you know the car was crap when it was released.

If a car company admits that one of it's cars needed 800 improvements so soon after its introduction, then that car company is stupid.

Toyota had the same announcement on the 04 corolla/matrix, over 700 new parts.

Could be as simple as getting new suppliers or purchasing deals at times. Not always bad.

I rode in my friends Ion yesterday. It is by far the biggest piece of junk I have ever been in. I'd taken korean over that any day.
