It's alright, definitely nothing special about it.

Except when compared to Civic or Corolla. Next to those it looks like a real car. Still not as cool as the Mazda 3 but pretty nice.

Actually it kind of looks like a civic.

Finally GERMANS are willing to copy to save their companies, I see Corolla, Accord and Camry. This looks like Lincoln try to copy MB and BWM on LS http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That is right, not even the Corolla has those huge rear overhangs. This thing is truly ugly!

I dunno about this new Jetta ... too much in similar with the Corolla at the back and front. Being a Corolla doesn't say much about design.

OMG Carolla! VW is going to hell!

The long overhang in the rear makes it ugly. I really admired the clean design of the previous Jetta:

...but I do not care for this new one.

It's actually not a bad-looking car.

The rear overhang is a necessary part of VW's stated intentions to make the Jetta larger. More homogenized, civilized, ummmmmmmmmmmmm priceupwardized. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

True, check out this picture with the outline of the current with the new coming jetta. They raked down the front and shoved the rear wheels back.

That is not good. There's no design continuity from the previous Jetta. Doesn't look German to me anymore, looks like a Corolla.

I like the design itself, but I don't think it fits as a VW.

1. Afty is right

2. Nissan did the same thing with the Altima.
The 2002 Altima is so different from the 2001 model, they should have changed the name. It beefed out, baby.

I think it looks nice. Maybe it will sell better with
this new design and it being bigger. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I can definitely see how not changing the Altima name has hurt Altima sales the last few years. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif

I think they should called it the Maxima.
And the Maxima could have been renamed the "I'm a family man who's too full of himself to buy a V6 Accord" Pimptima. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Have you ever considered looking at my logic and realizing I'm right and that your dogma gets run over by my carma every time! Obviously not.
