Honda has recalled more than a quarter-million 2004 and 2005 Accords due to concerns over whether the air bags would function correctly.

Maybe this will get a few more cars off the roads in Chicagoland for just a bit. Man this traffic sucks! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Everyone puts out new model cars too - so why should anyone post on Car Lounge about it? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif

This is not minor news, especially when it involves one of the biggest selling car models in the country.

Honda, Nissan, and Toyota are becoming 'just another' set of Big Three American automakers. Can't wait to hear about the latch problems on their minivans and so on.
Eventually the media will get a clue... the Camry is a Red State car, not some sexy import.

Well its no big deal as most people are no longer surprised. In Hondas quest to become this huge profit giant, it has simply overlooked quality.
But not nearly as bad as Nissan has.

What you say supports talking about recalls - if consumers don't start talking about this crap and criticizing where it is due, then nothing will get done. Whether it is Honda, or GM, or whomever, a large recall often indicates shoddiness of materials, fabrication, or quality control.

That is news - and if it involves a quarter-million cars in the largest car market in the world, it is really big news.

So if you're really agreeing with me, what was your point?

How does one find out if their Honda is involved? I know they send out noticesm, but if someone wants to verify before they recieve this notice, if their car is involved.

Looking at how they handled the tranny issue, watch out!

Let's all blame lazy Ohio workers. We all know that Kentucky and Tennessee workers put out better cars. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif
Michigan does the kowality like no one else though! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Everyone has recalls.

But Toyota leads the way in the least number of recalls in its entire history as an auto manufacturer! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

this looked like another Honda bashing but Riffster does make a point that it is significant, but other pointed out that Honda is doing something about it...

I'm not bashing Honda just to bash Honda - Nissan recently had a large recall that I posted in as well. It isn't about the marque, it's about the fact that it's happening. Honda should be better than this - they have had a good track record (for the most part.) Nissan has to raise their reliability to the levels they have with their Infiniti products. I mean, should the QC be that much better for a G35 than for a, oh say a Quest?
