I just got a new, at least I think it is new, M brochure in the mail. Seems like exterior and interior colors have been finalized, since they are listed in this brochure.

I am wondering what wheel choices will be available with the 5 models. Almost all the pics I see, including in this brochure, show the 5 "double spoke" wheels. I really do not like them and wonder how many wheel options might be available - not sizes, but styles.

Danny, any idea?

There are no wheel options at all. The standard wheel is an 18" and the sport model comes with a 19". The only option will be starting in March when you can get 18" chrome wheels but it will be the same wheel.

So, the 18" and 19" wheels will be same style wheels, just different sizes? Thanks.

The 18" rim is the one off the FX.

I saw a pic of the M(production) that had ALMOST the same wheel style as the FX...IM pretty sure they are similar.

Well I don't care what anyone says, the photos that have the FX rims on the M are from www.infinitinews.com (http://www.infinitinews.com) and they are of the production M. If you look at the pictures, it has the revised front air dam, and there are no led turn signals in the rear. Plus, just because they are on the Fuga doesn't mean that they are going to make it to the M, look at the front end of the Fuga, with the 18's, it doesn't look like the front end of the M, does it? No, so unless someone is telling me that the front end of the M is going to look like that, then I'm not going to believe that those ugly 18's are going to be on the M. Not that I really care, because if I do decide to get an M, I'll be going for the M45 with the 19's that are beautiful.

How come the 19'' front looks different?

I emailed Infiniti with the question about the 18" wheels and they simply directed me to the infinitinews website. So I'd have to say the two wheels we see there are the two wheels we'll be seeing. I don't know that I'd say the less known of the two sets of wheels are FX wheels (don't look like the FX wheels in the pics I'm used to seeing). But it looks like 5-split-spoke 19" and 10-spoke 18" best I can tell.

As for the front bumpers, that's a Fuga thing only. Difference between their small engine, terrible wheels model and their big engine, cool wheels model. But the M35 and M45 in the US will have the same bumper as the Fuga big engine (they have the 2.5 and the 3.5 over there?).

I think they look pretty darn similiar. Only difference is that the ones on the M are 18's and the ones on the FX are 20's.

Preproduction cars do not have final details including wheels that come from a vendor. DO NOT expect this to be the final wheel. I will bet this is not it.

Keep in mind that the only wheel shown in any of their printed material is the 19" wheel including the brochure that is currently out. IF the FX wheel was in fact the wheel they were planning on using it would show up in the brochure as well.

Also ever wonder why the only car shown at infiniti.com is the sport model and they disclaim that on each and every picture.

It would help if I could count. Not sure why I counted 10 spokes on that M pic in infinitinews.com showing those wheels. And looking at that FX pic, yeah, they're obviously the same style. I didn't realize the FX's wheels had that smashed flat style at the outer ends of the spokes. Thought they were complete arches.

Now I know I'm not an expert and I don't work for Infiniti, so I may not know as much about the M as others that are on this site. But something else just struck out at me. This 18" inch rim on the M35 had to be made specifically for it. Why you may ask? Well the rims on the M have 8 spokes. If Infiniti just didn't know what rim they were going to use on the M35, they would have stuck on the 18's from the FX, which only have 7 spokes. So these 8 spoke 18" rims, looks to me to have been made for the M35.

FIY the 19" aluminum wheels on the M35/45 Sport Pkg are produced with a semi-solid casting procedure that gives it strength approaching that of forged wheels. Supposedly the 19X8.5" wheels will be lighter than the standard 18" wheels.

The red one is a G35x, hence maybe the different wheels.

I'd say those are the rims. Under the specs on infinitinews it says 8 spoke 18 inch rims. I'm not sure why'd they post that on the website if it wasn't going to be accurate. I don't know what those other 18 inch rims are but they are definitely butt ugly!
