Umbria Grey?

I confirmed this at my local dealer today. The concept car that was going around the auto shows was Umbria Grey, and that is what is pictured earlier. I absolutely loved the color when I saw it at the Austin Auto Show, so that is what I'm going for.

I dropped a refundable $500 deposit and told them what I wanted today. They are going to see if there is a match and if there is my order will be in their first round of cars. They just today got the initial car list from corporate, and I should know by tomorrow or monday. Here is what I'm probably going to order unless they can't get a match:

M45 non-sport w/ premium package
Umbria Grey Exterior
Bourbon Interior

The toughest decision was deciding non-sport vs. sport. I figured non-sport was the safer bet.

I can't wait! End of february seems like a long time away...

p.s. Something else interesting I discovered today. Each dealer is going to get one M35 and one M45 exclusively as a demo/test drive car, and will not be for sale. I wonder if one will be sport and one won't. I'd be interested in feeling the difference.

Congrats on the order. I can't wait to hear how you like it and see pics. I will be doing a lot of test driving this spring, since I cannot decide whether I want the 35 or 45 and am also undecided on the Sport or not. Only model I will not be driving is the 35 AWD.

I am curious what made you place your order ahead of time? Did you consider other cars, like the 2006 Lexus GS, Audi A-6, or Acura RL? I did the same thing as you (pre-ordering it) on the G35 coupe because I fell in love with its exterior styling AND my current lease was up one month before the coupe was to be out.

Just curious as to exactly what sold you. Did the pricing matter, or were you going to order it regardless?

I looked at all of those and the MB E500 and Cadillac STS. My impressions of each:

RL - I had a really nice test drive. Quiet, but not overly powerful. Overall a very nice car. Back seat headroom is lacking. Small trunk.

A6 - I think this is my 2nd choice to the M45. Overall I just like the styling of the M45 over the Audi. I haven't done a test drive yet, but I still want to.

MB E500 - Very nice, but just not quite my style. I think it was a little pricey after options.

STS - ugly interior. Very cramped back seat. Just can't pay this much for a Cadi.

GS - I think i would consider it, but I like the M45 styling better.

Once I saw it at the auto show, I was pretty much sold. The road tests I read also seemed very positive. My deposit is refundable, so I'll still get a test drive and be able to make sure it is all I think it is.
