Well, they seem to like it in the initial Test Review. Very positive comments from the driver. Here's the link: 2006 M35/45...edmunds' 1st Drive (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FirstDrives/articleId=104605?tid=edmunds.h..insideline.promo.3 .*)

WHOA that is a very good review...but its rather vague? It doesn't provide much in trems of details. It leaves me wanting more info on the M...which is a good thing, teasers.

The engine revving info is new for me when using manual shift mode. Also, they mentioned about the rear steering. Does that mean it has four wheel steering like in the early days of the Mitsu 3000GT?
The article did is vague in terms of driving and performance specs. They did a good job with feature description. I remember they say all you need is the Nav System and you are set to go.

Rear wheel steering is not a new thing.
The early 90's 300ZX used to have it, as do GT-R's.
I wasn't aware that 3000GT's had them.
I know they had VR-4 for 4 wheel drive.

lol funniest part of the review:
Barely a handful of carmakers offers an automatic with a rev-matching manual mode. For the rest that don't, here's a simple exercise: Make a fist with your right hand and hold it up to your forehead, palm facing out. Now point your index finger straight up and your thumb out to the left, forming a reverse "L." Now look in the mirror because you are a loser.

Rear wheel driving in the new M is founded in the HICAS technology which has been used for well over a decade in the GT-R, 300ZX, and 240SX. HICAS stands for 'High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension.'
Here's a graphic that a does a better job of explaining it from our friends at the Southern California chapter of the 240SX Club of America (and Nissan!)

Note that HICAS only comes into play in mid- to high-speed cornering.

I think its a little different in the new M. At low speeds the rear wheels oppose the front wheels, which helps improve the turning circle when doing u-turns.
When I was test driving the new M45 I tried doing a u-turn and I was blown away by how tight the turn was considering the wheelbase of the car.
