Look at the glovebox door. It looks kinda crooked, something that you don't even see on KIAs nowadays. Shame on BMW http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/blush.gif

What the difference? aluminum and a navagation system?
That front grill reminds me of Alfa Romeo...
I saw that car last week on display, no competition
to MDX, FX, and RX...

Yea, that is pretty nice.
The IS doesn't looks so bad.
Seems to be a trickle-down design mantra going on with Lexus and Toyota.
BMW interior has a nice GM fleet feel to it.

Actually I liked the way this new Subie looked in person. The Interior is very nice. In photos I was not liking any part of it at all.

Uh...I think the major difference is the center console. There's a bulge where the LCD goes.
Materials wise, I dunno...didn't get a chance to sit in one (I'm not sure they had one for the
public to sit in).
But yeah, looking at these photos again, it's obvious that BMW interior is going downhill a
bit.
My first reactions to the Subie interior was a bit mixed. It was all too different when you
first see it. But at the same time, it has a very mecha-organic/bio-mechanical feel to
it (Neon Genesis Evangelion anyone?), kinda like that whole "bionic-cheetah" fluff they
used with the FX when it was a concept. I've read that the exterior signals the future design
cues of the upcoming Subies. We'll have to wait and see how they can improve it and adapt it
to smaller cars.

Image levels adjusted in Photoshop
Saturn Aura interior looked really nice (dare I say, better than the BMW??). It was hard to
snap a pic because they had it roped off and doors closed, but I really liked the color they
chose for the interior lights. It was kinda sad, though, watching those poor guys pretty much
admitting how much previous Saturns sucked and how much better these new ones were. Notice the
texture details on the steering wheel leather; very nice. I still wouldn't buy from the General
(yet - except for the Corvette), but they're getting there.

Tribeca is bigger then an FX it's more a competitor to the Murano. It actually reminds me of a better looking Murano. Much nicer in the interior when compared to the MDX and current RX(but then again the Prius has a nicer interior/fit and finish then the RX http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). As far as exterior goes the MDX, RX, Murano, ML, FX and Tribeca all remind of hideous disfigured Nike basketball shoes. With these crossover/faux truck thingies it is really just a choice of which kind of ugly you want to drive http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Meh.... Random women comments at car shows don't really register on my radar. One women called a Ferrari 330 P4 one of the ugliest car she's seen http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.
Haven't seen the new 3 series in person yet but all the write ups seem positive. I think I'll have to go check it officially is released on dealer lots in Canada on May 11th.

MB SLR, pretty sweet. Saw one on the 5 fwy heading down to San Diego. Saw it coming up from the rear on the left side. Watched it pass me, then it took off. Made a nearby CL look like an economy car.

I dunno, maybe I'm being a bit too judgmental here, but the new Lexus IS in those pics looks an awful lot like a Honda Accord. im sure its beautiful in person, but man it just turns me off in those pics, it looks so much like an Accord.

I went to the auto show yesterday. I plan on going again today. You didnt show a good picture of the Acura RL concept. Suprisingly, that was one of the best looking cars there. If they offered that as a sports package I think people would certainly buy it.
The BMW interior does look cheap but it hasnt changed. That's the same way it always looked. The first time I sat in a 3 series I was left wondering where is the rest of it. I expected more from the great 3.

It's not a big car, and everything is optional. The car comes in a trillion different permutations, from basic $30K to, well, the sky is the limit on the options, pricing, configurations, and so on.
Sit in an Acura and realize "what you see is what you get."
The 3 Series is NOT "all that" enough for every stupitbutt auto rag to feature it on the cover and then wax prolific about it.
That said, who wants to go test drive one with me? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have often thought that maybe the car mags are on Consignment the BMW, every time you say postive things about whatever we build even if its Blender will we give you kickbacks. Maybe Car and Driver uses it to sell Subscriptions, look at many times Car and Driver is featured in BMW product literture.
Do I still want a E46 M3 with the Competition package = Hell Yeah http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Charlie Chen my friend, your stupidass website you're pulling your photos from has these photos on password protection now, which results in a trillion password prompts. Are you screwing with us? Get a clue, New Jersey.
Speaking of NY/NJ evar getting a clue, NYIAS Sucks!

Far from surprising, something other then a Buick (a fountain next to a giant rotating Buick badge) was at the center of attention at Buick's show area.
http://img205.exs.cx/img205/7475/04020513573md.jpg
Notice all the people over by the fountain? They were throwing coins into it, wishing they could see some exciting cars or something.
Buick employees were wishing someone would use that computer to register for the Buick mailing list. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
P.S. this picture of the fountain was taken by me from sitting inside a LaCrosse. Hey, look at all the youthful buyers forming a line to sit in the Buick, blocking my view! Oh, wait. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I was lucky I took this pic when I did, right after I took it some old people walked by really slowly. That would have totally delayed my fountain shot.

No chit!
The Cleveland and Detroit shows had the LaCrosse FACING AWAY from the fountain. Thus I could not taken ... fountain shots.
I liked how the rock music melded nicely with the fountains, resulting in an upmarket experience that rivaled Lexus. The rock music really soothed my old man nerves, although those fountains had to go, that's sooooooo not luxury, should have put the Kia exhibit there instead! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif
When I think luxury, I think bad rock music. It's like going into downtown Cleveland on a Saturday night.
