This is my first post so bear with me, lol. Today I was at woodfield mall, and my friend & I walked past a car with tape covering part of the tail lights and anything that would show a car manufacturer symbol. My friend (who knows absolutely nothing about cars) asked me where the "h" symbol was, and I told her I thought it was an acura at first. Once i saw the side profile it kinda looked excactly like the accord but with just a different backend. I could tell you this, I'm 99% sure that the tail lights were LEDs. I wanna say that it is an accord. But then again honda somewhat updated the accord's tail lights for 2005 so I don't know why they would update it again. Maybe it's not even a honda at all, who knows? I only took two pictures with my camera phone, and I regret not taking more http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif . The first one is really blurry, and the second pic is of the back.

wow...great catch! Maybe it is the refresehd accord? If you look at the pic with the rear, not only does it somewhat resemble the Accord Coupe, but you can tell that the interior has that same "Waterfall" Design as the current accord....excited to see wut it really is!?!

How can you see the interior?
What kind of plates are on the car? Were the manufacturers plates?

Could it be the hyundai sonata?

Ugh, it looks a like a Hondarolet. Honda needs to go back to classic rear end design. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Nice work. I do believe this is the first time ever I gave out a 5-pack of stars to someone from Chicago. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Uncanny resemblance to the Civic Si Concept shown at the Chicago Auto Show except the character line going across the trunk should have been moved down a bit more.

It looks like someone took some sandpaper to the back of the Grand Prix.

And the Grand prix needs it..how about a sand blaster??
Good catch here though with the photos. My 1st thought was that it resembles the Civic Si concept as shown above. The Accord needs alot of exterior refreshening, and this refresh would tie in the Accord with the new Civic look. Lets sing:"We are Family..."

I'd agree that the current Accord has some major styling gaffes going against it. But if these are the pictures of the 06 Accord refresh (probably the fastest and most radical refresh in Honda history), hopefully they'll redo the front end in the next Civic/TL-esque style with long, narrow headlights and an actual grille.
People might actually be able to recommend the Accord to people without the caveat "you spend most of your time inside the car so it's not a big deal."

Design weirdness doesn't keep families in the midwest from buying all kinds of weird junk, like the Asstek.
I'm gonna sing "We Are Family." Pull out the karaoke machine.
Here, put some VTEC stickers on it for good-lucktima.
I too thought it looked like the new Civic, but you said it was bigger, so it must be the new Pontiac, er, Honda midsize coupe rear end refresh.
It's okay, I still don't like the rear end of either the current Accord sedan or coupe all that much. The Altima is just more striking, even though I'm generally not a vertical taillamp fan.
looking at the thick C-pillar and 4 door like windows, maybe its a re-freshed accord redesigned to match the accord coupe's looks or else its probably a new civic

How can you tell if they're a manufacturer's plates, lol? The license plate on this car was a first of its kind that I ever saw, if that helps. It definately wasn't a regular state license plate.

Space Alien Unified Territories (SAUT) probably. It's definitely not a European plate. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It would have to be a 06' Accord coupe , it's much bigger than the Civic using the old Accord to the left of it for comparison

Great, so for 2006, the Accord Coupe and the Monte Carlo get totally watered-down?

Ugh, you're right, it's the sedan... total 2006 Impala washed-out-ness.
that's is the refreshed accord sedan since this is the new civic sedan:

"There will be many differences between the sedan and coupe, but even so, one can easily see the similarities between the sedan shown here and the Civic Si concept shown in Chicago. Most noticeable is the sweeping roofline and A-pillar, which goes right into the hood for a dramatic look. The windshield, side-view mirror treatment, and front-side windows, as well as the rear fender creases and trim, all match closely with the Si concept as well"

Just by comparing the two vehicles I noticed a striking similarity. The license plate #'s are almost identical. I am not sure what state they are from and where the picture of the civic was taken in comparison to the Accord. I thought it was odd. If this wasn't a Honda product why the license plate # similarities? Something for everyone to think about.

what cars are you guys comparing?
Isn't the bottom one a photochop?
Look at the taillights, the trunk, and the C-pillar/rear window.
Oh yea, and the same black Sentra/Marauder, sign, and trees in the background.

Yeah the bottom one looks to be the photoshop for several reasons.... But anyway I was comparing the license plate of the one Mari posted to the one Ntice368 posted... both plates look similar and end in O2UA
