Ok so it's official the Pathfinder's built in Barcelona SP are available with HID/Xenon. Now I tried to contact Nissan Europe in order to get part numbers to see if I could order the necessary parts to retrofit them myself. Only problem is the sent me the numbers and addresses to UK dealerships.
Meaning since they drive on the wrong side of the car and road the beam Opposing lane light cut off would be on the wrong side of the vehicle. Has anyone else looked into making this conversion? I love my path but I am seriously dissapointed with the stock hallogen's. I've gone the Silverstar route on my last SUV and found them equally useless in the night rain conditions.

I was suprised at the HIDS(Xenons) that my friend got off eBay for his Honda Civic, They are really bright and look very high quality. I think you can pick up a pair for $350-400 for high and low beam operation, that is with ballasts and wiring harness. I know my Frontier takes the standard 9007 bulb, I bet the pathfinder is the same one. Just search eBay for 9007 HID conversion and you should get a few hits...

Have you tried getting the info for a dealer in Spain or Germany? They drive on the same side of the road as us and the Pathfinder w/ HIDs is also sold there.

I haven't mainly cause I've been unable to find any of the info in English. I was hoping to find a site just for Pathfinders (like titantalk is for Titans) and ask for a local member to dig up the info. Not to come off as ignorant but due to the language diffs I figured I might have some problems I'm sure there are folks at the dealerships that speak English but I can't seem to get Spanish or German dealership #s to get the ball rolling.
I just think it's retarded (no offence intended to people with special needs) that there is no one reachable through Nissan that can give any answers. Thank God Nissan's Engineers are the polar opposite of Nissan Customer Service I'm still waiting (since december 8th) for my roof rail crossbars.

What is wrong with a conversion? I am sure there is very little difference in the housing itself...

I've read up alot about the conversions and it's a gamble depending on the manufacturer (most are homegrown). I had a good link but it's now defunct. Not to mention the lenses are cut differently between the halogen and HID applications. With the 9007 bulbs doing double duty (hi/lo beams) you would either get a bulb that switches it's arc or lose your high beam function.
That and I'm hellbent on keeping it as Nissan as possible. I'm waiting on the Nismo accesories to come out before I even consider moving away from the stock air filter.

I can see where you are coming from, nothing wrong with building on to a quality vehicle with quality parts... I think K&N filters do the job fine, although I have heard about the oil from K&N filters wrecking havok on some MAFs though... dunno all about that, I like stock clean paper myself...

I had the K&N FIPK II on my Old Grand Cherokee /w 318ci.
Power wasn't that significant but it did breathe much better and sounded awsome. But I did hear that they wreaked havoc on the Titan MAFs as well so I'm waiting for the "nissan approved" replacement.
