05 pf storm gray paint problems?

I have the 05 PF LE in storm gray. Our dealership gave us a free year of car washes at a well known car wash business. The last two times through, I discovered scratches on the left rear quarter panel and on the top corners of the rear door. (A lot of scratches). I met with the corporate manager for the car wash. They showed me how they use cloth brushes and a gentle car wash system. Manager is going to have the scratches buffed out by a professional detailer. We couldn't see what was causing the scratches. Manager allowed me to watch other vehicles go through and didn't find any scratches on other SUV's.
I also found some chips in the paint in various places around the vehicle.

Any one else finding that their paint is so fragile to scratch that easily or know of any paint problems?

I waxed my Strom Grey yesterday amd had allot of paint chips from rocks in the front. I don't have any scratches. In the G35 forum allot of people complained about crappy paint on their G35's. I'am diving from Chicago to Dallas next week maybe the truck needs a bra?

Bra wouldn't help where the chips have appeared. Side of vehicle and around the upper fender wells. Scratches on back left quarter panel.

I have not noticed any issues on mine yet. The flat front does catch a lot of bugs though.

This does not surprise me. I havae owned many a Nissan vehicles, worked at Nissan and Infiniti dealerships, and with corporate. Paint chips seem to be common on all the vehicles I have owned, in all colors, metalli and solids, Nisan and Infiniti. Service advisors have told me similar things also. No car company is perfect.

No problems with paint on my 05 Storm Grey PF just keeping it clean. I've scuffed it twice but a little wax and "poof" no more scratches. I do only hand wash and wax my PF though.
