Test drove a Z and all I can say is WOW. I hear that the interior will be updated for 2006. Not sure if I should wait for the 06. Any info on the changes?
Check this thread with pics of what probably is the 2006 350z:

only thing i like from those pix is the audio controls on the steering wheel. i would love to have those. i am not too impressed with everything else. the door panels are cool and so are the LED taillights but i think i could live without those.

AGREED! The steering wheel controls would be nice...I don't like the look of the shifter surround, or the climate controls...too much needless "aluminum". I don't like the headlights, and as much as I like the led tailights, they look too random and don't match the cut, refined look of the car.

those new headlights are definitely not an improvement. they should have taken the headlights from the jgtc Zs for the update. then i would have been interested! i wonder if we will be able to add the steering wheel controls to the older Zs without it getting too expensive.
The main thing I'm interested in is if they do something about the friggin cheap plastic door panels. I have a 2004 Z and the door panels are impossible to clean. I have seriously been thinking about getting them upholstered in leather to resolve the issue.
I tried Meguiar's NXT Tech Protectant and it left a nasty spottiness on the door panels. I talked to their QA Manager and he couldn't figure out anything that might work, after he visited a couple of dealerships to check out the Z in person. I also tried their Quick Interior Detailer that is supposed to not leave any oily/shiny surface but still got the same spots. I've been using just plain soap and water but still get the damn spots with it too.
