How about posting a dyno sheet with torque curve and air/fuel. How about a pull to redline as well. Then you might strike my interest.

Maybe he doesn't have that?

The AF is in there, the RPM are offset and 300rpm higher as indicated on the scale.
The scale is off by 300 rpm.
I didnt have teh torque curve handy but it was stouter than I had expected but dont remebr it anymore..
I will redyno in spring.

FRED,

I sent you a PM. I'm most likely going to be buying a 350Z within the next few months and will be immediately Supercharging/Turbocharging it. I also have a Spec V (wrecked in storage right now). I had PTI's turbo kit on it and ran 12.9 in the 1/4.

Shane:

Tell us more about your plans and/or ask us more about FI on the Z33

Fred:

Basically I'm deployed right now and will be stateside in late January. I plan on buying a 350Z (2005 or 2006) and will most likely go with a supercharger (I'm still in the beginning of my research stage...that's why I joined this board). I am definately going FI. First question is: What is Z33?

Anyhow, I had a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V but I totalled it 3 days before I got deployed. I quickly bought it back from the insurance company and put it in storage prior to deployment. The reason I bought it back is because I had several performance parts on it to include a Turbo, Intercooler, Walbro Fuel Pump, Guages, Boost Controller, Racing Pulley, JWT Clutch and Flywheel, Full NisMo suspension, Balance Shafts removed with JWT kit, Stromung Exhaust, etc. etc. etc. Part of me wants to buy a used Spec V and swap all my parts over so I still have a turbo-charged Spec V. But, I'll probably just try to sell the whole wreck for around 5k so (none of the performance parts or engine was damaged...I rolled it). My Spec V ran 12.9 in the 1/4 and was my daily driver. Awesome car, awesome reliability. But.... It's time to move on to a little better car. Therefore, I'm buying a 350Z and will immediately introduce Forced Induction. I did ALL of the work on the Spec V myself (for the first time) to include the Turbo installation (but I got help from Horsepowerhouse in Lexington, KY). Actually, I helped them install my turbo so I could learn.

I don't know too much about the 350Z but if it doesn't have a returnable fuel system then I plan on making it so. I'll get most of my advice from a guy named Jamie who owns www.powertechimports.com (http://www.powertechimports.com) (Canada). He is the guy I bought my Spec V turbo kit from. I plan on doing everything myself. I will also have boost, EGT, Oil Pressure, and Air Fuel Ratio guages. I'm leaning towards the same system Fred has with the 9PSI pulley. I will be building it so that it will be a capable daily driver although I won't be driving it daily. It will be a weekend car. It will be very dependable though. I'd like to feel comfortable driving it across the U.S. if I had to.

Well, that's basically it for now. I need to learn more about the car as well as about what system I'll go with and what upgrades will be required (Clutch, Flywheel, Fuel System, etc, etc).

Oh yeah, my younger brother has a 2004 Touring Edition 350Z that I have driven several times.

Shane,

Shame about your SPEC-V.

I am sure there are folks here, who might be interested in your parts/car.

Z33 is the factory code for the current generation of Z , the 350Z, with the 90-96 being Z32 and before that Z31 etc.

The 350Z has a returnless fuel system (blame static emissions), there are a couple of systems on the market to remedy this (been eyeing the AAM) but you can of course also make your own, if you are skilled.

W/o upgraded injectors and a fuel return system, 9 psi is likely a bit too much IMO, as I was running leaner than is advisable, for FI.
This was part of the reason I went back down to 7 psi.
Am running mid 11's AF all until 6400-6600 rpm ,when I go to 12.0 AF.

Others have run even 11 psi Pulleys, on the 287hp motors with a ecu reflash and a fuek return system, injectors etc, w/o problems.

Yeah, I'll definately go with a returnable fuel system for sure. I'll upgrade the injectors as well and obviously the fuel rail.

Z33, got it. That's what I figured.

What did you run in the 1/4 with 9PSI? If you didn't run what do you think your time would have been? If you ran was it on street tires, Drag Radials, or Slicks?

Thanks for the help guys. This is why I love forums like this one.

any Tq curve dyno?

If you have HP you have torque. hp = (tq * rpm) / 5252 so tq = (hp * 5252) / rpm

For example :

(140hp * 5252) / 3000rpm = 245lbs-ft
(330hp * 5252) / 5100rpm = 340lbs-ft
(411hp * 5252) / 6200rpm = 348lbs-ft

Car just got sold ( for too little to make room for another Project).

Here was the set-up when I sold it ( drivetrain only not counting other Mods)
car had 62,000 miles on of which 48,000 miles were supercharged
11,000 of which at 9 psi pulley.

car seen about 20 streetraces to 135 pmh during that time

Stock internals on an 04.

-ATI ProCharger running 7 Psi Pulley
-AAM Plenum Spacer
-AAM Hiflow Cats
-AAM Ypipe
-AAM ECU Reflash
-J&S Ultrasafe guard
-EGT Gauge in Drivers door instead of vent
-Baffled,finned and larger oilpan
-Nismo Clutch
-Nismo Flywheel
-Crank angle sensore wire shielding
-Custom 6 wire grounding kit
-Greddy Oil Catch Can
-B&M Shortshifter
-Greddy BOV custom welded.

It did 361 whp with the 7psi Pulley and these supporting Mods. :auto:

nice numbers, the ATI really puts out

unfortunately because of going so lean when at redline, I bet if the car was fully tuned so it wasn't hitting 12.5 A/F at the end, it'd probably make around 390-400whp normally with a flat 11 A/F
