Z06 owns Viper with 3.4 sec 0-60

CandD Dec 05 tested the new Z06 vs the viper coupe. The z06 continues to post even quicker numbers, close to the enzo, with a 3.4 0-60, tho qtr mile still at only 11.8 Viper hit 60 in 3.8. Z06 also posted a higher top speed with 198, as the viper coupe's 190 really isn't any improvement over the roadster.

I think its because of the power to aerodynamic ratio which favors the Vette's slippery shape and thus helps it as far as the topspeed goes. As for the 0-60, I think Vette has the advantage in power to weight ratio, but I could be wrong on that one.

Yep has 5 less hp but 300 lbs less.

Isn't a coupe usually less heavy then it rag top counterpart?

I think all the magazines have had the same shootout with the ZO6 on top

One of the magazines had the Vette, Viper & Ford GT on a dyno & the vette actually has more HP than the viper. Its pretty disapointing to me that Dodge didnt up the power of the V10 for the coupe when they knew what the Vette was going to be like.
