In early June 2005, Mallett Cars announced their next venture: the V8 powered Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. The Solstice is now here. This two seat roadster is powered by the same engine that is currently used in the C6 Corvettes. To celebrate their newest conversion, Mallett will be producing a special offering of the new 400 Horsepower LS2 Solstice, limited to a production of 100 cars annually.
Mallett Solstice V8 Performance Package includes:
* 400 bhp LS2 V8 Engine (OEM GM LS2 Block)
* Exclusive Mallett seat headrest and body ext. graphics
* Mallett serial number plaque
* Luk Gold Clutch
* Non-Adjustable Mallett-Penske Shocks
* Short Throw Shifter
* High Performance Brake Pads
* Stainless Steel Brake Lines
* Show car detailing: interior and exterior
* Professionally installed, tested and tuned
Supercharger, turbocharger and a 6 speed Tremac transmission will be available soon.
Bet those puppies would fly, probably get better gas mileage than the standard ecotec 4 bangers if they had the same gearing with a Corvette tranny.
