Don't tell...he's out trading his Dad's G6 in for one of these babies...with pinstripes even! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just wait until after Turkey Day http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

As for the car, looks nice. Wonder if it'll get a 3.3 and or 3.5 liter.

Ummmm, ok. Looks like nothing noticeably changed but the head/tail lights. It'll sell because it's a Camry – grandma-mobile, which is what a lot of people want.

Not on Toyotanation. Their forums kinda, oh, suck.

Note the interior pics.

The interior is very nice. Toyota/Lexus are really designing great looking interior door panels. The Exterior on the final product is well...I can't really say it is an improvement yet over the current one... almost fugly really. And why are they using Nissan old school grille textures in the Camry Grille? e.g. 91-92 Sentra, 02-04 Altima?

The 2002-2004 Altima grille looks much better than the new bug-face look of the 2007 Camry spy pics.

'87 Sentra

Looks like the Mazda6's ugly cousin, kinda like a bad interpretation of the Mazda3 and 6. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I wonder if Toyota is planning to sell this car in Europe since the front seems kinda tall to me, but I think it would look much better if the grill was integrated with the hood instead of the front bumper.

Side view reminds me of a bloated '95-'99 Sentra.

Interior has more flavor than the exterior but there's at least hints they tried something. I'm sure this will continue to sell very well as it doesn't look like they screwed it up in any way.

B14 Sentras sold ... all too well. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Again, it's the B14 Sentra that turned me off Nissan for a few years. That's why I rail about it.

You will all like ... NEW Camerygon. With pinstripes.
Looks sharp in black.

You're kidding me, right, CoCo? I mean, no doubt cajillions of people will buy the ultra-common looking new "Camrygon," but it doesn't look so much different from the last Camry, albeit a little more snub-nosed. Overall, it looks like an amalgam of different current cars.

I think CoCo is right - CamryStripe owners don't give a damn about cars except as a way to get from A to B - they like Toyota reliability over all else -

I know several Camry owners and they have a hard time finding their *own* car in a parking lot -

As far as they are concerned - they have a "brown car over here somewhere ...."

that thing is hella nice.
they could pass that off as a FWD low-end Lexus.

That's precisely the reason I bought my mom mudflaps and the stainless steel exhaust tip for her "Desert Sand Mica" '05 LE...you don't tend to see either accessory here let alone both on the same car.

I like the Toyota commercial where they are crash-testing the minivans. The test administrator tells the kids "that's called 'Desert Sand Mica'" and they say "whatever, just crash it!" http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

But seriously, the chrome exhaust tips will let her sport that big, dopey tailpipe in STYLE!

You'll love the CACTUS MICA '06 Corolla..... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Actually speaking of 'Desert Sand Mica' '05 Camry's.... there's one in town that the customer actually added non-functional Pontiac Grand Am hoodscoops in that color with fake spinner hubcaps and the optional rear wing and the guy that drives it is at least 60!

Seriously? I'd hate to disagree, but what I see in those pictures is a contrived, disjointed attempt to apply L-finesse styling elements to the current body style. Looking at the side profile, this new-gen Camry even appears identical to the current one between the wheels, slab sides and all.

As for its competetors, I don't think I'd be alone in saying that I prefer the styling of the current Altima (which, at the end of its cycle, still looks good), Mazda 6 and Legacy to this.

Yes, I think some trims of the Altima from the front and side and the Mazda6 all around are great looking cars. Legacy is nice as well. The Accord is decent, Camry and G6, meh.

Alltrac, these pictures are Toyota confirmed. Not everything is a chop and some companies actually do the chops themselves to show what the finished product will look like so not every chop is unreal.

After staring intently at the profile of an Avalon, I see the resemblence.
