Why is it when the hatch gets atractive, we in the U.S. don't get it. We got the crappy minivan looking one.

And a few generations ago when the hatch was somewhat attractive, no performance version (Si) was available here, but elswhere they got the Type-R. The US seems to get the shaft on the cool imports.

I don't understand why we don't get a "Type R" version right now, instead of this silly "SI" nomenclature nonsense. Honda (ok, Acura) is the company who made the "R" name popular in the U.S., so why back away from it now?

Looks awesome! The only gripe that I had with Euro Civic was the glass "grill". Now that the grill is gone, it's a very nice looking hatch! Too bad it's only for EU http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It's a concept car. Even says so on it's front plate.

Also, another telltale sign is the use of 4 piston Brembo calipers for rear brakes...

I know, but the current EU Civic is almost identical to the original concept (http://cars.ign.com/articles/597/597439p1.html) (except the wheels and brakes of course). So I wouldn't be surprised to see this body in a production R.
