Fewer Daewoos sold as Suzukis for the US? Good.

It seems like GM is divesting to focus on the core GM products. A little bit too late IMO.

But I thought the Suzuki XL-7 was up for best car in the world honors??? I don't understand. It doesn't make any sense. Why get rid of one of the best carmakers in the world? They should sell off all their UAW employees to the japanese and invest all of their money in suzuki and make millions of XL-7's because it is up for one of the best cars in the world honors. It is a good car and drives very well and is up for one of the best cars in the world honors.

The Suzuki Swift is an awesome car..... no wonder GM doesn't sell that car in the US. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/conehead.gifhttp://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smash.gif GM can't stand having a decent product on their lineup.
Yep GM sold 17% of there 20% back to Suzuki.
Suzuki would never let them sell the Swift as a GM, they won't even sell the same Daewoos in the US. When Suzuki bought a portion of Daewoo a part of the agreement was that GM wouldn't be allowed to sell the same Daewoo models as they do in the US(but in Canada its who;e different situation http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ack2.gif ).
They're basically just partners on certain projects now, like they're co-ownership of the CAMI plant and GM Daewoo.
GM lost Subaru and Suzuki.
