View Full Version : G35C vs G37C
With all of talk about the disappointment over the styling of the new G37 coupe and how it looks less aggressive than people wanted it to, I thought it might be interesting to do a photo comparison of the G35C vs the G37C. I felt the same as many of the others who said they were underwhelmed with the new style. The comparison however has made me look at things a bit differently. What do you think? (Sorry for the images being different sizes. Maybe someone can fix that.)

Great comparison pics. I love the new G, but you can't deny that the G35's styling is still contemporary.

agreed, nice comparo. you know, i didn't really realize how similar these 2 cars looked until you did this. while the new coupe certainly has grown on me, i don't find the redesign to be nearly as radical as on the sedan (not that it needed to be)...

I think Infinity did a great job with the new coupe.. They made some nice evolutionary changes.. nothing radical.. They smoothed out some areas but kept most of the look of the previous gen.. which is a good thing.
When compared side by side in these photos I thing the G37C looks more muscular and aggresive than the G35C. I really didn't think that until they were side by side and it's made me like the new style quite a bit more. Can't wait to put them side by side at the dealer and really get a good look. I've considered getting the G35C while I still can if I don't like the new style, but that's starting to look less and less likely.

Here are the pictures reduced to the same size for better comparison.
Still a slight difference in size - the G37 is actually shown a slightly larger 'zoom' than the G35. Hopefully the red color vs. the graphite will 'balance' this advantage by being a brighter color.

Thanks for resizing the pics and fliping the side profile ones the same direction. What did you use to change them? Photoshop?

No, while I do have Photoshop Elements (can't justify buying Photoshop for the little I use it), I just used the freebie Paint program included with Windows XP.

I'll probably watch when I wake up (from night shift) Exciting stuff... and I think there may be some FA'ers there to see it live!

Since this has come up in numerous threads - Looking at these side-by-sides, do people think that the new coupe really rides higher (distance from ground to bottom of car)?
I've seen it in person and didn't think so, but I hear this complaint alot.

I've also seen this mentioned in several threads, and I'd hesitate to say so before seeing the specs or comparing in person. However some of the pics DO make it look like that.

If you look at the 1st pic of the 1st gen coupe - it looks high as well, no?

G35 looks better in my opinion.
G37 looks good, but you can tell they just didn't really know how to change it. I'm sure it will sell great as long as they don't jack the price up too much. With the 07MY price difference already, I'm going with a sedan when my lease is up.

As far as I can see the G37 and G35 are virtually at identical ride heights - and if there's a difference, we're talking tenths of an inch (and not a lot of tenths.)
